This is an autobiographical account of the amazing adventure of Fred Rebell. He is the first known sailor to have crossed the Pacific Ocean from west to east (from Australia to North America) alone in a boat. Perhaps to a modern reader - a person not familiar with the maritime sector - this would not seem very unusual, but it should be added that the length of the boat was only 5.5 meters, it had no cabin, only a tarpaulin cover, and all the navigational instruments were made by the traveler himself. However, this is not only a story of adventure, more importantly, this is also a story of the search for the meaning of life - the physical journey turns out to be a spiritual journey, during which he gets to know God and is convinced of His trustworthiness and guidance.
